Design Institute America
Duncan’s design work didn’t stop after Macrima, and in 1978 he produced another collection of home furnishings for Design Institute America. Primarily focused on shelving and tables, it maintains his signature minimalism and sophisticated use of geometry to create unique silhouettes.
Duncan’s Other Design Work
From his time at Pratt through to retirement, Duncan brought his keen eye and innovative mind to bear on multiple design projects across different mediums and disciplines. While none would achieve the success of his furniture, their unique flare deserves its own highlighting.
Presented here for the first time is a collection of Duncan’s non-furniture designs, including his award-winning Pratt pop-top Christmas card, children’s Prisma blocks, folding egg carton, and more.
